What’s something you believe everyone should know.

I believe that there should never be any vacuum in our minds. The more creative, open, and active we are, the easier it will be to surmount hurdles and have a brighter perspective in life. This reminds me of an incident: a teacher gave each of his disciples some money and pointed them to two rooms. The first disciple used the money to buy physically occupying stuff, whereby the room ended up cluttered with things of little value. The second disciple purchased a candle and incense sticks and filled the small room with light and the rich, soothing scent of scents, making the room feel alive and inviting by this simple choice.
This story reminds me of what we want to fill our minds and hearts with—clutter or that which illuminates and warms us. We make active choices to create, be kind, and express gratitude for looking out into the world and toward each other in a positive light. It is this attitude that enriches life and helps us face whatever challenges come our way.
