What’s your favorite month of the year? Why?

If I had to choose, my favourite time of year would be from October onwards. This season feels genuinely magical, especially here in New Zealand. The days grow longer, with daylight stretching until around eight o’clock, encouraging more time outdoors.
One of the most noticeable transformations is the abundance of flowers. Even the weakest plants seem to come alive, showcasing a kaleidoscope of colours and spreading joy—completely free of cost. Flowers remind us of a simple truth: beauty doesn’t always come with a price tag.
This is also a season where people, especially women, dress more vibrantly. Some spend generously to look their best, while others find creative ways to shine in stunning second-hand outfits at minimal cost. Seeing how their efforts contribute to the cheerful atmosphere is inspiring, something others like me can enjoy and appreciate.
I don’t decorate much during festive times. Instead, I love soaking in the joy and beauty created by others. There’s something special about being a quiet observer, appreciating the season’s vibrancy. From the longer days to the colourful surroundings, October onwards feels like a celebration of nature’s artistry and human creativity.
