Lately, I’ve been thinking about inner strength. Not the kind from exercise, but the calm energy that helps us through each day. In Ayurveda, this energy is called **Ojas**. Ojas are like the body’s natural glow that keeps us alive, healthy, and balanced. Strong Ojas make us feel good, think clearly, and get sick less often. If our Ojas are low, we might feel tired or stressed more easily. So, I wanted to learn how to build more of this energy in my life.

What is Ojas?

Ojas is like a unique treasure inside our bodies. It keeps us strong and full of life. When we have good Ojas, we feel strong, happy, and healthy. But when Ojas is low, we might feel weak, tired, or even sick more often. So, I wanted to find out how to keep my Ojas strong.

How I’m Building Ojas

I’ve changed my diet and daily habits to help build my Ojas. Here’s what I’m doing:

1. Eating Healthy Foods

I started focusing on eating fresh, whole foods instead of processed snacks. I added more fruits, vegetables, and healthy fats like ghee (clarified butter) and coconut oil. For breakfast, I have oatmeal with honey and nuts. For lunch, I eat a vegetable stew or rice with lentils. These small changes make me feel more nourished and full of energy.

2. Eating at Regular Times

I try to eat at the exact times every day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I used to snack a lot, but now I eat enough during meals, so I don’t need to snack as much. Lunch is my biggest meal because my digestion is most potent then. I eat dinner a few hours before bed early and keep it light, like soup or steamed veggies. This helps me sleep better and wake up refreshed.

3. Daily Relaxing Activities

It’s not just about food. I’ve also added some simple daily activities that help me feel calm. I do gentle yoga in the morning to wake up my body. I take a few minutes to meditate, focusing on my breath and letting go of stress. When I feel overwhelmed, I take a deep breath, step back, and remind myself to stay calm.

4. Listening to My Body

I’m learning to listen to my body more. If I feel tired, I rest. If I feel stressed, I take a break or walk. I’m learning to respect my body’s signals instead of ignoring them. Being kind to myself and knowing when to slow down helps keep my Ojas strong.

Changes I’ve Noticed

Since making these changes, I’ve felt some positive shifts. My energy feels steadier, and I feel more balanced emotionally. I wake up with more power and a clearer mind. Even my skin looks brighter! These small changes make a big difference in how I feel daily.

Final Thoughts

Building Ojas isn’t about strict rules or significant changes. It’s about tiny, mindful choices every day that add up. It’s about eating good food, keeping a routine, managing stress, and listening to your body. And most importantly, it’s about being kind to yourself.

Try these simple tips if you’re tired or want to feel more energetic in. It’s an easy, gentle way to feel better and stronger from the inside out.

Here’s to building Ojas, one small step at a time!
