A Small Act of Kindness on a Winter Day

Write about a random act of kindness you’ve done for someone.

One cold winter afternoon, I went to the public laundry to dry my clothes. I saw an older man struggling with a wheelbarrow full of wet clothes. He seemed weak and had trouble lifting the clothes into the dryer.

I walked over and offered to help. He looked relieved and said thank you. As I lifted the wet clothes and put them into the dryer, he started sharing a story from his younger days. He talked about how he used to be strong and active, always helping others in his neighbourhood.

When we finished, he smiled warmly and thanked me again. It made me feel good to help him and hear his story. A small act of kindness can mean a lot to someone, especially on a cold winter day.
